This animoto interprets my understanding of the novel because it includes all the basic themes and motivations that BNW is written on, from the caste development to the sexual lifestyle almost every person engages in.

One of the arguments that Huxley presents in Brave New World that is shown in the modern world is that society is fueled by consumerism. Everyone is pressured to buy the latest products and discard the old, out-of-date items and the media and these higher up people will try to convince if you obtain these new items, your life will not function right without them. If you have a iPhone 6 and the new iPhone 7 comes out, everyone will tell you to buy the iPhone 7 because it is bigger and better. Half of the stuff that we as human buy we don't even need but we buy it anyway because it is the hottest trend out there and we give in to so easily. Huxley argues that modern society pressures folks to pursue new things because it is the only way to achieve stability and people get easily swayed.

Second argument that Huxley points out is those who know the truth about a secret within a government or a big corporation, the higher authority will do anything to suppress the truth from getting out from people. They are many secrets out in this world that we do not know about and if we find out about those secrets, it will disrupt the balance of society and confuse all the morals and values we have known since we were born. Members of the higher authority realize what the truth can bring so they do everything in their power to bury the truth. Most importantly, they will try to hide the truth so that it won't get into the "wrong" hands and someone might expose the truth to everyone.

The essay is suppose argue one's position on Oscar Wilde's claim that disobedience is a valuable human trait and that it promotes social progress based on his quote: "Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience that progress has been made, through disobedience and through rebellion."

What I learned in Quarter 3 AP Lang is the deeper meaning of ethics, the different categories of ethics and how it affects all of us. I believe I have met my learning goals and have a better understanding about things around me. I got an "A" so of course I got the grade that I deserved, it was hard but it was worth it. None of the units were meaningful to me because I had to do lots of work and some were quite boring. What I gained from the most was the breakdown presentation of what ethics truly is. What we could've skipped was the timeline because I think I'm not going to benefit from it at all. What I am dreading in Quarter 4 is the preparation for the AP Exam.My learning goals are how to speed read and how to write an essay that is worthy of an 9 in the AP Exam.
